A massive collaboration just dropped for Pinoy indie-pop fans as the breakout band Nameless Kids released their latest single, “Temporary,” featuring a special guest on the drums. Steven Rutherford of the acclaimed American indie band joan lent his talents to the track, turning a long-time dream into reality for the trio.
Written and produced by band members Nhiko Sabiniano, Kim Allen, and Imay Cortes, the new track captures the lingering, heavy emotions of a love that refuses to fade. It blends the signature indie-pop sound of Nameless Kids with vulnerable lyrics about longing and the uncertainty of trying to move on.
The road to the upcoming album
The new single follows the band’s recent releases, “kuha mo na” and “sinungaling.” All three tracks are set to be featured in the band’s highly anticipated upcoming full-length album.
Since making their debut with “Outlaws” in 2020, Nameless Kids has steadily built a loyal following through their heartfelt songwriting. The trio dropped their debut EP, “Shoes out the Door!” in 2021 before achieving a major breakthrough with “Sayo (Ang Mundo),” which has earned over 3 million streams on Spotify. They later unveiled their first full-length album, “Manila in Bloom,” which featured popular tracks like “Lonely” and “Hotel Runs.” The band continued their momentum with “Gabi,” a track that entered the Spotify Philippines Viral Songs Chart and earned spots on major playlists like OPM Rising and Viral Hits Philippines.
