HANNA, Canada (Aug. 2026) – Rock fans looking for a mix of raw emotion and heavy guitar riffs have a fresh track to add to their playlists, as Canadian rock band Nickelback has officially released their new single, “Leave Me Behind”.
The song serves as the third release from the Diamond-certified group’s upcoming studio album, “Everything Under The Sun,” which is set to arrive on Oct. 30, 2026, via Virgin Music Group.
From heavy riffs to emotional depth
While their previous single “Rattle The Cage” featuring guitarist John 5 delivered an explosive surge of heavy riffs, “Leave Me Behind” shifts gears into vulnerability and loyalty. The track explores the struggle of standing beside someone during their darkest moments, turning heartbreak into a message of resilience.
Frontman Chad Kroeger shared that the song carries significant weight while maintaining a strong sense of hope. He noted that the track balances helping someone heal with the personal fear of being left behind during that process, creating a tension that makes the music feel deeply personal.
A new era for the veteran rock band
The release follows earlier tracks “Rattle The Cage” and “Bones For The Crows,” which marked the band’s first new material since their 2022 album “Get Rollin'”. This new music arrives during a period of renewed momentum for the quartet, following their hit Netflix documentary “Hate to Love: Nickelback” and a record-breaking world tour.
With nearly 60 million albums sold worldwide and over 50 million monthly digital listeners, the band continues to draw in both long-time listeners and younger Pinoy fans discovering their catalog of 2000s rock staples.
“Leave Me Behind” is available now on all major streaming and download platforms, with pre-orders open for “Everything Under The Sun” ahead of its Oct. 30 release.
Note: Local Philippine streaming access is available on major digital platforms, though specific local physical pricing or distribution details have not yet been announced.
