MANILA, Philippines (Aug 2026) – Virtual racing skills could earn you serious cash and a spot representing the nation, as qualifiers for the TOYOTA GAZOO Racing Philippines Esports GT Championship are officially open.
Toyota Motor Philippines has kicked off the 2026 season of its premier sim racing tournament, giving aspiring racers a platform to turn virtual track time into a legitimate motorsports career. Previous champions from the tournament have even transitioned to real-world racing in the TGR Philippine Cup.
A brand-new division for young racers
This year’s competition introduces a major update to give more young drivers a fair shot at glory. For the first time, participants aged 18 and below can sign up under a new Junior Class. Meanwhile, racers aged 19 and above will compete in the Sporting Class.
The top 10 fastest drivers from each class will advance to the National Finals on September 27, 2026, hosted live at the SMX Convention Center.
How to join onsite or online
Qualifiers run from August 17 to September 13, 2026, with flexible options for every player. Pinoy sim racers without a home gaming setup can head to 11 participating GR performance dealerships to complete their qualifying runs: Toyota Makati, Toyota Alabang, Toyota Silang (Cavite), Toyota San Fernando (Pampanga), Toyota Calamba (Laguna), Toyota Cebu City, Toyota Otis, Toyota Commonwealth, Toyota Manila Bay, Toyota Global City, and Toyota Santa Rosa.
Gamers who prefer racing at home can join online qualifiers if they have a PlayStation 4 or PlayStation 5, a copy of Gran Turismo 7, an active PSN account, and an active PS PLUS subscription. All competitors must fill out the online registration form to book their qualifying slot.
Big cash prizes and a path to the regionals
Both the Sporting Class and Junior Class champions will take home PHP 100,000 (approx. $1,750) in cash, while the runners-up in each category will win PHP 75,000 (approx. $1,310). Additional cash rewards and official Gazoo Racing merchandise await other finalists.
The champions of both classes will automatically secure spots to represent the Philippines in the regional finals. A third slot will be awarded to the runner-up with the highest cumulative points after the final round of the National Finals.
