If you swung by the vivo Concept Store at SM Mall of Asia last August 8–9 weekend, or the SM North EDSA branch the weekend after, you probably noticed shoppers leaving with more than just a gadget bag — they walked out with devices and merch that literally had their names on them.

That was “My vivo, My Mark,” the in-store activation where vivo Philippines and Markd brought laser customization straight to customers, personalizing select vivo devices and exclusive merchandise through xTool laser customization technology.

More than a purchase

At “My vivo, My Mark,” customers got the chance to add a personal touch to items they could take home.

Existing vivo users who visited the store with their vivo smartphones purchased a limited-edition vivo-branded aluminum tumbler for Php 99, with on-site laser engraving available to personalize the piece — the same tumbler promo we covered when it kicked off at MOA.

Customers who purchased eligible vivo Y31d smartphones or vivo TWS earphones during the activation also enjoyed complimentary engraving. With up to five English letters or numbers available for personalization, customers could add their own touch to the vivo Y31d back panel or TWS charging case.

The activation gave customers more than just another in-store purchase. It allowed them to create something that reflected their own identity and preferences. Whether through a personalized tumbler or an engraved vivo Y31d and TWS earphones, each customized item offered a more personal connection to the brand.

Two weekends, two malls

Held at the vivo Concept Store at SM Mall of Asia on August 8 and 9, 2026, the activation marked the first in-store collaboration between vivo and Markd in the Philippines. The experience then continued at the vivo Concept Store in SM North EDSA on August 15 and 16, letting more vivo users experience laser personalization firsthand.

Through the activation, vivo and Markd show how technology can be more than functional. It can also be a way for customers to express themselves, turning something they already use into something that feels uniquely theirs.

Missed both runs? Keep an eye on vivo Philippines’ official Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, X, and TikTok pages — the brand, whose global headquarters recently charmed a visiting Anne Curtis, has clearly been on a roll with experiential activations.
