That ₱500,000 sitting in your GCash might be frozen in place without warning: wallets cap how much you can hold, receive and send, and almost every guide online still teaches last year’s rules. GCash quietly restructured everything around five profile tiers with a monthly reset that lands on the 1st. Here is the full 2026 matrix, straight from GCash’s own help center.
The five GCash profiles at a glance
Your limits depend on which profile your account carries, from entry-level Basic up to GCash Platinum. Each tier sets three separate caps: what your wallet can hold at any moment, what it can receive per month, and what it can send out daily and monthly. The official table below was published by GCash Help Center and updated this August.
| Profile | Who it’s for | Wallet limit | Incoming / month | Outgoing daily | Outgoing monthly |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Basic | New or unverified users | ₱10,000 | ₱5,000 | None | ₱5,000 |
| GCash Jr. | Ages 7 to 17 | ₱50,000 | ₱10,000 | ₱10,000 | ₱10,000 |
| Fully Verified | ID-verified users | ₱100,000 | ₱100,000 | ₱100,000 | None |
| GCash Plus | Fully Verified users with a linked bank account or investment | ₱500,000 | ₱500,000 | ₱100,000 | None |
| GCash Platinum | Eligible Globe Platinum subscribers | ₱1,000,000 | ₱1,000,000 | ₱500,000 | ₱1,000,000 |
When do GCash limits reset?
Hitting a cap does not lock your account permanently; it pauses specific services until your limits reset on the 1st day of the next month. That single detail trips up more users than any other, because searches for a “GCash daily limit” often chase a number that mostly applies monthly now. Only the outgoing side carries a true daily ceiling, and only on Jr., Fully Verified, Plus and Platinum profiles.
Incoming and outgoing also count separately against their own budgets. A Fully Verified user can receive up to ₱100,000 within the month regardless of what they spend, and spending draws down the outgoing allowance instead. Upgrade the profile and both ceilings rise together.
How to raise your limit to ₱100,000, then ₱500,000
The jump to a six-figure wallet starts with full verification, GCash’s standard ID and selfie check done inside the app. Per GCash’s upgrade guide, reaching GCash Plus at ₱500,000 then requires three things: being at least 18 years old, using a Philippine-issued mobile number, and staying active on bills, purchases and transfers.
If Plus does not arrive automatically, GCash lists qualifying transactions that trigger a risk review:
- Link BPI, UnionBank, Payoneer or PayPal, then cash in at least ₱100
- Open GSave with CIMB, UnoBank, Maybank or Cebuana Lhuillier, deposit ₱100 and leave it for 5 business days
- Invest at least ₱100 in a BPI or ATRAM fund through GFunds and hold it 5 business days
Allow five business days after any of these before checking your new tier, and keep your account clean of policy violations since upgrades stay subject to regular risk evaluation. Platinum remains invite territory for eligible Globe Platinum subscribers, who coordinate directly with Globe.
Multiple accounts do not stack
You can hold up to five GCash accounts under one customer profile, but the caps never combine. Instead the highest single-account limit applies across all of them, so a ₱100,000 account beside a ₱500,000 account gives you ₱500,000 everywhere rather than ₱600,000 total. Treat extra accounts as convenience slots, not storage expansion.
Quick answers
Does my GCash limit reset every day? Mostly no: only outgoing transfers carry daily sub-limits, while wallet space, incoming funds and monthly outgoing all refresh on the 1st of each month.
Can a 15-year-old hold ₱50,000? Yes, through GCash Jr., whose wallet cap of ₱50,000 actually beats an unverified adult account four-to-one.
Why did sending money fail even below my wallet cap? You likely hit the separate outgoing allowance for the day or month, which is independent of how much your wallet holds.
Which tier do you actually need?
Salaried users moving rent, groceries and remittances fit comfortably inside Fully Verified, whose ₱100,000 monthly incoming covers most household cycles. Frequent sellers, freelancers invoicing in bulk and small online shops are the natural audience for GCash Plus, especially paired with a linked bank for faster withdrawals. If you regularly brush against caps mid-month, the fix is structural: upgrade the profile instead of timing transfers around the calendar, and pair the breathing room with cheaper rails by checking which banks still ride free in our BSP transfer fee list.
