Suwag Tamaraw Actors Guild Ensemble (STAGE) of FEU Diliman will be spearheading a three-day stage play.
The stage play will be entitled “Tiririt ng Ibong Adarna” by Elmer L. Gatchalian, an adaptation of Ibong Adarna, a famous epic of Philippine Literature. Tiririt ng Ibong Adarna is a comic, musical and mythical story that centers on the determination of the characters to catch the mythical bird that possesses magical powers.
The activity seeks not only to exhibit the talents of the participants but to enlighten the audience specially the Filipino Youth with the moral of the Ibong Adarna.
In line with this plan, the organization will let part an amount of the proceeds to help Barangay Sagingan. The chosen beneficiary is a community made up of elementary students, whose parents are mostly security guards and construction workers, who are in need of educational assistance. The proceeds of the play will be used to purchase monoblock chairs for them to use during mass in their area. They will also be provided with school supplies.
