QUEZON CITY, Philippines (Jul 2026) – A wave of Pinoy entertainment is taking over the regional screen as ABS-CBN secures four major nominations at the upcoming ContentAsia Awards 2026. The media giant nabbed recognition across several categories, celebrating stellar programs, films and top-tier talent.
From tearjerkers to action-packed hits
Leading the cinematic front is the drama-comedy film “Call Me Mother,” starring Vice Ganda and Nadine Lustre, which earned a nod for Best Feature Film or Telemovie Made in Asia. On the television side, the Philippine adaptation of the hit romantic-mystery series “It’s Okay to Not Be Okay” is up for Best TV Format Adaptation (Scripted) in Asia. The show, which stars Anne Curtis, Joshua Garcia and Carlo Aquino, has been widely praised for its raw depiction of mental health, trauma and healing.
Meanwhile, the high-octane primetime hit “Incognito” is vying for Best Drama Series Made in Asia for a Single Asian Market, thanks to its gripping storyline and strong ensemble cast.
Angelica Panganiban guns for top acting honors
Renowned actress Angelica Panganiban also clinched a major solo nomination. She is in the running for Best Female Lead in a TV Programme/Series Made in Asia for her powerful performance as Jackie Carpio in “The Silent Noise.”
The ContentAsia Awards recognizes outstanding entertainment programs, personalities and films that bring authentic Asian stories and talent to global screens. The grand winners will be announced on Aug. 26.
