Atty. Jose Sison, alongside his son Jopet Sison, once again empowers Filipinos with knowledge of their legal rights and obligations as the hit legal drama anthology “Ipaglaban Mo” finally returns on ABS-CBN beginning Saturday (June 7).
“Ipaglaban Mo” was one of the most top-rating and longest-running programs on TV back in the ’90s. Aside from legal advice, the compelling dramatization of real-life events also captivated viewers. The show was such a hit that the line “Kapag may katwiran… ipaglaban mo!” became a popular phrase, even until now. “Ipaglaban Mo” was last seen on ABS-CBN in 1998.
Atty. Sison is positive that viewers will again embrace its newest run. “Hopefully it will become a hit once more so that a lot more of our countrymen will be educated,” he wrote in his column in a national broadsheet.
Every story to be shown in “Ipaglaban Mo” weekly has gone through the meticulous supervision of today’s respected directors, which include Cong. Lino Cayetano, Eric Quizon, Ricky Rivero, Rechie del Carmen, Erik Salud, and Manny Palo, who directed the pilot episode airing this Saturday (June 7).
For its premiere offering titled “Hindi Ko Sinasadya Yaya,” “Ipaglaban Mo” tackles children’s rights and the age of discernment through the story of 7-year-old “RJ” (Izzy Canillo), who accidentally shot dead his nanny “Yaya Miling” (Shamaine Buencamino).
“Micmic” (Michelle Vito), Yaya Miling’s only child, sought justice for her mother, but how can she win her legal battle if the accused was a minor and the crime was an accident?
Also joining the cast this week are Lara Quigaman, James Blanco, and Dionne Monsanto.

How can I upload my story to your program? I am a victim of Illegal Dismissal at my age of 60 and very sad that my son na pinaghirapan at pinagsikapan kong makatapos ng pagka abogado…turned his back when I am in deep trouble. My case now is at the CA Cagayan de Oro Nr. 5904. I believe my story will interest audience. It stemmed from two reasons…fabricated ang cases na ginawa sa akin;
1. I was accused as the one who email in our NGCP internet the Complaint affidavit of a lady employee against a security manager for Sexual Harassment for which NGCP did not act up to the present;
2. I filed case of Illicit Relationship and Dishonesty against my security manager in Mindanao in violation of our NGCP Code of Conduct.
Both cases above were not acted by NGCP and the reason for fabrication of cases against me.
My son is Atty. Ericson Nery T. Bansiloy, PAO Region XI…very sad.
If my story will fit your program, my contact Nrs. 09074618671 and 09279733897.
Thank you.
