INDIO, California (Apr. 2026) — On a Friday night in the California desert, eight Pinay pop stars walked out onto the Mojave stage at Coachella and made history.
BINI became the first Filipino group to perform at the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival, delivering a 45-minute, 10-song set on April 10 (US time) or April 11 (Philippine time) at one of the world’s most watched music events. The performance was livestreamed on the official Coachella YouTube channel, drawing viewers from across the globe.
The group opened with “Shagidi,” followed by “Zero Pressure” and “Out Of My Head.” They performed local favorites “Karera” and “Salamin, Salamin,” then “Blink Twice” and “Cherry on Top.” The set also featured the first-ever live performance of new song “Blush,” followed by “Bikini,” and closed with “Pantropiko.”
Members Aiah, Colet, Maloi, Gwen, Stacey, Mikha, Jhoanna, and Sheena each took a moment between songs to speak to the crowd.
“We are so grateful to be here to represent the Philippines on a global stage and to share with you guys our music,” said Aiah. Maloi added: “Being here with all of you has been the sweetest ‘cherry on top’ of our journey so far.”
The response online was immediate. #BINI_CoachellaWk1 trended at No. 1 worldwide on X, topping charts in the Philippines and the United Arab Emirates, ranking No. 2 in Canada and Singapore, No. 5 in Australia, and No. 6 in Puerto Rico and the United States. Dozens of related topics, including Pantropiko, Salamin Salamin, and BINICHELLA, also trended simultaneously. “BINI Makes History as First All-Filipino Act at Coachella 2026” appeared on X’s Today’s News trending section.
On the ground in Metro Manila, fan group BLOOM Philippines organized watch parties across the metro and nearby cities.
