Dialysis center maintains country’s first and only ISO certification

Leading renal healthcare provider B. Braun Avitum has been certified ISO 9001:2015 after a thorough audit of its quality management system (QMS).

B. Braun Avitum has been recertified with ISO 9001:2015 for quality management system (QMS), the global benchmark for organizations in continuous improvement, consistent provision of products and services that meet customer and regulatory requirements.

Braun Avitum received the certification after going through the remote audit conducted by third party auditor TUV Rheinland last November 2020 despite the challenges of auditing in a pandemic.

The company’s dialysis centers have been ISO 9001-certified since 2004, and continue to be the only free standing dialysis centers in the country that are ISO certified. The renewed ISO certification is valid from 2021 to 2024

ISO 9001 certification is an international quality control management system granted by the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) and is widely recognized as a global benchmark for organizations in demonstrating continuous improvement and consistent provision of products and services that meet customer and regulatory requirements.

The said certification covers “Dialysis Treatment” which consists of the dialysis company’s procedures, protocols, and workflow.  The multi-site certification covers B. Braun’s 24 centers and the main office.   Olongapo, Sta. Rosa, Fairview, Quezon Ave., Guadalupe, Mindoro and the Head Office were audited last November 25, 2020 as sample centers for the multi-site certification.
