LAPU-LAPU CITY, Philippines (Jul 2026) – Shipping goods across the globe just got easier for Visayan entrepreneurs with the launch of the new FedEx World Service Center in Cebu. The facility provides local businesses with direct access to international shipping services and on-site customs assistance.
Located at the Mactan-Cebu International Airport Cargo Complex, the facility sits right next to the Bureau of Customs Cebu office. This strategic spot aims to take the headache out of cross-border logistics by offering immediate help with documentation and clearance requirements.
Boosting local trade and e-commerce
Cebu continues to grow as one of the country’s leading hubs for trade, manufacturing, and entrepreneurship. With cross-border e-commerce expanding, the new center allows walk-in customers to drop off shipments directly without waiting for a scheduled pickup. This gives small business owners more flexibility to manage their operations.
According to Maribeth Espinosa, managing director of FedEx Philippines, the company remains committed to investing in infrastructure that helps local businesses connect with global opportunities. She noted that the facility brings services closer to customers, making international shipping more accessible and efficient for everyone from established exporters to growing small and medium enterprises.
Faster connections to the world
To ensure swift deliveries, the facility works alongside the existing air network of Federal Express Corporation in the region. The current schedule features six inbound flights every week from Sunday through Friday, along with five outbound flights running from Monday through Thursday and on Saturday.
This network allows Pinoy enterprises in Cebu and neighboring provinces to connect with customers in more than 220 countries and territories. As regional trade accelerates, the logistics giant aims to strengthen its infrastructure to support key growth markets across the Philippines.
The new facility is located at the Ground-Air Logistics Corporation Complex, second floor, Unit 3, in Lapu-Lapu City, Cebu. Customers can visit the center during regular operating hours to process their international shipments and consult with on-site clearance processors.
