TAGUIG, Philippines – It’s official: Samsung’s Galaxy S Series and the Galaxy Z Flip, are now in the Philippines. The announcement came only four days after being revealed at the Unpacked 2020 event held in San Francisco, USA. All four of Samsung’s newest flagship Android smartphones are now available for pre-order at the Samsung website and Samsung concept stores nationwide: the Galaxy Z Flip, S20, S20 Plus, as well as the Galaxy S20 Ultra, Samsung’s best smartphone camera to date.

Hand held – Samsung Galaxy Z Flip (Philippines)

Samsung Galaxy Z Flip features the Korean manufacturer’s foldable display technology first seen in the Samsung Galaxy Fold launched last year. Now in a more compact, clamshell form factor, the Galaxy Z Flip also features a smaller, 1.1-inch mini display at the front that can show information such as date and time, notifications, as well as a preview for taking photos with the 12-megapixel main (rear-facing) camera.

The Galaxy Z Flip runs on an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 855+ chipset with Android 10 and Samsung One UI version 2. Memory and storage are fixed at 8GB + 256GB. At 7.2 millimeter thin, it packs a 3,300 mAh battery that can charge at up to 15W.

Samsung Galaxy S20 series comes in three variants: S20, S20 Plus, and S20 Ultra. All three models bear identical specs,: the Galaxy S20 has a 6.2-inch screen, a 4,000 mAh battery, and a triple camera module with no depth sensor. The S20 Plus has a 6.7-inch screen, a quad-camera module that includes a depth sensor, and a 4,500 mAh battery. The S20 Ultra is the largest bearing a 6.9-inch screen, 5,000 mAh battery, and a quad camera module that includes a 105MP lens and a 48MP periscope-type telephoto lens that can zoom up to 100 times, called the “Space Zoom”.

Other countries will be retailing the 5G-ready Samsung Galaxy S20 Ultra 5G, however, this feature is not enabled for Philippine devices.

In the Philippines, the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip is priced at 79,990 PHP. The Samsung Galaxy S20 is priced at 49,990 PHP, while the Samsung Galaxy S20 Plus and S20 Ultra is priced at 55,990 PHP and 69,990 PHP, respectively.

Pre-orders of the Galaxy S20 Plus and Galaxy S20 Ultra made from February 12 to February 27 come with Galaxy Buds Plus worth 6,990 PHP.
