MANILA, Philippines (Jun. 2026) — Hundreds of student leaders got more than a free movie when Globe and Disney turned “Toy Story 5” into a nationwide gathering focused on friendship, collaboration, and campus communities.
On June 20, simultaneous screenings were held in Clark, Bonifacio Global City, Dasmariñas, and Cebu City, bringing together student organization officers, youth leaders, and Disney fans for a shared cinema experience inspired by the themes of connection that have made the Toy Story franchise popular for generations.
More than just a movie screening
Instead of a traditional block screening, the event encouraged students from different schools to meet fellow campus leaders, exchange ideas, and build new connections beyond their own organizations.
Attendees also joined themed activities, raffle games, and merchandise giveaways inspired by the latest Toy Story film.
The event continues Globe and Disney’s long-running collaboration, using storytelling to encourage young people to overcome challenges, support one another, and pursue meaningful goals.
Helping students beyond the classroom
Aside from the movie, Globe introduced attendees to its Globe Student Program, an initiative that gives student organizations opportunities to propose projects that can create positive change in their schools and communities.
Participants also learned about student-focused offers available through the GlobeOne app, including Globe Rewards that can be redeemed for beep™ card loads, food and beverage vouchers, coffee credits, and free Timezone credits.
Roche Vandenberghe, Globe Consumer Chief Marketing Officer, said many impactful ideas begin within communities. Through the Globe Student Program, Globe hopes to give student leaders more opportunities to collaborate, pursue projects they care about, and create lasting impact beyond their campuses.
Students interested in joining the Globe Student Program can learn more through Globe’s official website.
