Veteran crime journalist Gus Abelgas returns to recount more gripping cases to viewers in the new episodes of ABS-CBN News’ docudrama “SOCO,” airing on free TV beginning September 12 (Saturday).
Joining Gus anew are ABS-CBN News reporters Jessie Cruzat and Jeff Caparas, bringing an in-depth breakdown of the most recent true-to-life murder stories from across the country.
For its first episode, “SOCO” will delve into a gruesome rape-and-murder case of a 2nd-year tourism student in Nueva Vizcaya last February 2026, with her remains left in flames after the ruthless crime. The incident then points to a 33-year-old assailant, who happens to be the victim’s neighbor and has developed feelings for her, touted as a possible motive.
