HONOR, Porsche Design unveil thinnest inward foldable smartphone in China


MANILA, Philippines – HONOR, in collaboration with Porsche Design, has unveiled the PORSCHE DESIGN HONOR Magic V2 RSR, marking the introduction of the thinnest inward foldable smartphone in Shanghai, China. Weighing only 234g and boasting a thickness of 9.9mm, this collaborative innovation sets a new standard in the industry.

The partnership between Honor and Porsche Design signifies a commitment to global consumers by combining human-centric technology and functional design. George Zhao, CEO of HONOR Device Co., Ltd., expresses their shared pursuit of excellence, aiming to co-design the next generation of smart devices.

Stefan Buescher, Chairman of the Executive Board of Porsche Lifestyle Group, highlights the unique Porsche spirit and values infused into the PORSCHE DESIGN HONOR Magic V2 RSR. The smartphone’s bold design, inspired by motorsports, reflects the prowess of both brands, creating a sportscar-like experience in the user’s palm.

In terms of materials, the device features the industry’s first Anti-scratch NanoCrystal Shield, providing tenfold improved scratch resistance and a hardness rating of over seven on the Mohs scale. This ensures superior durability and protection for the display.

The foldable OLED LTPO display of the PORSCHE DESIGN HONOR Magic V2 RSR delivers an exceptional visual experience, supporting 1.07 billion colors. Incorporating eye protection features like 3840Hz PWM Dimming and Dynamic Dimming, the device caters to the needs of heavy users, reducing eye fatigue.
