"Excited na ako bumalik sa pelikula," shares Cavite Vice Governor Jolo.

Jolo got sidelined into making movies due to his busy commitments as provincial vice governor in Cavite. Now that he has got accustomed to his political tasks, he was able to appear and guest in the ongoing blockbuster teleserye FPJ's Ang Probinsyano.

The idea of reviving their once busy film outfit was the suggestion of his father Senator Ramon "Bong" Revilla Jr, that his grandfather former Senator Ramon Revilla Sr. put up many years back.

"We have to bring back action films. Not just any ordinary films, these are the kind of movies that blow up real cars for example and not just done thru CG effects." he enthuses.

Jolo first entered showbusiness back in 1999 when he first appeared in the film "Pepeng Agimat".

A couple of years later, he began hosting in TV shows, SOP (Sobrang Okay Pare)  and his father's show, Idol Ko Si Kap.

Politics runs in the family, and Jolo got elected and became a public official in June 30, 2013 as Vice Governor of Cavite. When not in the showbiz limelight, he actively does his duties and attends to a lot of livelihood and community programs in their province.

But as they say, once an actor, always an actor and after his last appearance on television five years ago, Jolo got back and could not say "No" to a good role in the blockbuster action teleserye, FPJ's Ang Probinsyano, topbilled by Coco Martin.

Jolo updates us by sharing he also intends to run for re-election next year.

In the movie, "TRES",  Jolo's lady co-star in their episode, 72 Hours is the lovely Rhian Ramos to which he is all praises.

He even posted their above photo on his Instagram account @jolo_revilla three months ago when they shooting their segment with a cute caption:

jolo_revilla:  “Denise, wag ka makulit, kinikilig ako.” LOL. #tres #72hours

The very single actor/politician who looked so fresh and ever handsome was curiously asked by the press, if there was something brewing between him and Rhian?

And with a very wide but shy smile Jolo replied, "Ibalato n'yo lang sa akin ito."

As it is publicly known, Jolo and actress Jode Sta. Maria were formerly together as a "couple".

For the role, Jolo also disclosed that he lost around 60 lbs. to look fit in the movie in which he plays a PDEA (Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency) agent.

Seasoned actor Albert Martinez plays a bad guy while veteran actor Tirso Cruz III is one of the good guys.

The story in their segment all happens in a span of 72 hours only.

What can he say about his two other brothers sharing the same film?

"Ang gagaling nila! Basta...panuorin po ninyo..."

Following the success of recent action films, Buybust and We Will Not Die tonight, Jolo hopes that action movies are really here to stay.

"This will also help generate jobs to our stunt men who are one of the unsung heroes in every action film."

Helmed by very notable "action" directors, Dondon Santos and Richard Somes, TRES opens in cinemas nationwide on October 3, 2018 under Imus Productions.
