PHILIPPINES – Lenovo launches the Legion Phone Duel, the brand’s first gaming smarphone arena that runs on the Snapdragon 865 Plus platform with an Adreno 650 GPU.
Bearing similarities to the ROG Phone 3 which was also launched this week, the Legion Phone Duel features a 6.65-inch AMOLED display with a maximum refresh rate of 144Hz and 240Hz touch sampling rate.
It features dual front-facing speakers and two programmable triggers at the top, similar to the ROG Phone 3. It uses ultrasonic sensors as well as haptic feedback to mimic the feel of physical buttons. Users can choose from up to 20 sensitivity levels and create haptic feedback profiles to match different actions (i.e. gun trigger).
The base model comes with 8GB of memory and 128GB of storage.
It also comes with a 5000 mAh battery that can charge at 90W via two of its USB Type-C ports. Dubbed the “Turbo Power Charging” technology, Lenovo claims it can fully charge the phone in just 30 minutes.
It also features an in-display fingerprint sensor, but perhaps the most prominent feature of the phone is the 20MP side-mounted pop-up front (selfie) camera, which allows streamers to project a video of themselves while gaming.
The rear of the phone features an RGB hologram that changes colors when reflecting light, as well as the catchphrase “Stylish Outside. Savage Inside.”
Its rear cameras include a 64MP f/1.172 main sensor and a 16MP f/2.2 ultrawide sensor.
To keep the system running at optimal temperatures, the Legion gaming phone has a dual liquid cooling system as well as an external cooling fan that can be attached as an accessory.
Lenovo Legion Phone Duel comes in four variants, priced as follows:
- 8GB + 128GB: CNY 3499 (~25,000 PHP)
