The company just launched the 15/8KG Slim Front Load Combo Washer Dryer (F2515RNEG). It packs AI-driven fabric care, a speed wash cycle, and a dedicated pet odor remover into a body that is 125mm thinner than standard models.
Smart enough to know your fabrics
The headline feature here is AI DD™ (Artificial Intelligence Direct Drive). Instead of just spinning blindly, the machine detects the weight and softness of your load. It then adjusts the drum motion to match. This aims to clean effectively while reducing wear and tear on delicate items like school uniforms or workout gear.
For those days when you need a fresh shirt ASAP, the TurboWash™ 360 cycle claims to finish a full wash in as little as 39 minutes. It uses four spray nozzles to saturate clothes faster, cutting down wait time for busy families.
Hygiene for allergy sufferers and pet owners
Heat and humidity are perfect breeding grounds for dust mites. The built-in Steam™ function targets this by reaching high temperatures to eliminate up to 99.9% of these allergens. It is a useful feature for bedding, towels, and clothes worn during outdoor activities.
Pet owners get a specific tool too. The Pet Care Cycle, accessible via the LG ThinQ™ app, uses high-temperature washing and warm rinsing to reduce up to 99% of pet odors. It is designed for heavily soiled items like dog blankets or muddy shoes.
Slimmer design, same capacity
Space is a premium in many Metro Manila condos and apartments. LG managed to keep the 15kg washing and 8kg drying capacity while shrinking the unit’s depth. The slimmer profile allows it to fit into tighter alcoves or under counters where bulkier machines won’t go.
The Inverter Direct Drive™ motor powers the drum directly, removing the need for belts and pulleys. LG says this reduces noise and vibration, which matters if your laundry area is near living spaces.
Control from your phone
Through the LG ThinQ™ app, users can start or stop cycles, monitor energy usage, and download new wash programs. You can check if the load is done without getting up from the couch, a small convenience that adds up over time.
Changhee Doh, Product Director for Home Solutions at LG Electronics Philippines, noted that summer routines involve more movement and outfit changes. The goal of this combo unit is to simplify that cycle so users spend less time managing laundry and more time enjoying the weather.
