MANILA, Philippines (Jul 2026) — Moving your hard-earned cash to another bank account no longer comes with a painful deduction. Everyday digital fund transfers are now completely free through the updated Metrobank mobile app, eliminating the sneaky transaction charges that regularly eat into local savings.
The sudden shift to zero fees applies to both instant transfers and larger transactions, giving Pinoys an easy way to bypass the usual digital banking toll gates.
Send money daily without the extra charges
Pinoys can now transfer funds through both InstaPay and PESONet without paying a single centavo in transaction fees. The new policy covers routine transactions like splitting dinner bills, paying casual online sellers, or sending allowances to family members.
For quick, real-time transfers, users can utilize InstaPay to send up to PHP 50,000 (approx. $860) per individual transaction. The mobile application allows a maximum daily transfer limit of PHP 100,000 (approx. $1,720) through this channel.
Moving larger amounts is covered too
When it comes to heavier financial obligations, the free service extends to much bigger amounts. Users looking to move larger lump sums for business transactions, rent, or major investments can utilize PESONet, which accommodates free fund transfers up to PHP 200,000 (approx. $3,450) per day.
The updated zero-fee feature is automatically active for all registered users using the latest version of the Metrobank App, with no special sign-ups required.
