PHILIPPINES – Xiaomi Philippines announced the arrival of the Redmi Note 9 Series and the Mi Note 10 Lite in the Philippines via livestream on Tuesday afternoon on its official Facebook page.

Xiaomi confirmed the June 4 release date in the Philippines as well as the prices for the Redmi Note 9 (7,990 PHP), Redmi Note 9 Pro (12,490 PHP), and the Mi Note 10 (16,990 PHP).

Hosted by Ava Castillo with her lovely cats, Marketing Manager for Xiaomi Philippines, the online launch highlighted the quad-camera capabilities of Redmi Note 9 (48MP) and the Redmi Note 9 Pro (64MP).

Both phones also offer immersive “Dot Display” panels, speedy performance (Helio G85, Snapdragon 720G), and fast charging (18W, 30W) with massive batteries – desirable features that bring a lot of value to those within the 8,000 PHP and 12,000 PHP budget segments.

Not to be outdone, the Mi Note 10 Lite touts features that can go head to head against the more expensive Samsung Galaxy Note 10 Lite and the iPhone SE.

Powered by the Snapdragon 730G (8nm), it also features a curved AMOLED Dot Drop display, 64MP quad cameras, stunning aesthetics, and a 5260 mAh battery capable of 30W fast charging for as low as 16,990 PHP.

The launch was the latest event since the Philippines entered enhanced community quarantine (ECQ). The also announced the the arrival of the Redmi 9S online earlier in May.

Before the Coronavirus pandemic forced the country into quarantine, Xiaomi physically launched Redmi Note 8 and the Redmi Note 8 Pro in the Philippines late last year.

The company is yet to reveal the release date and price of the Pocophone F2 in the Philippines, another highly anticipated “flagship killer” device and the follow-up to the Pocophone F1.

Redmi Note 9 will be available on the Xiaomi Official Store on Shopee on May 27 and on Lazada on June 4 in the Philippines at the following prices:

  • Redmi Note 9 (3GB  + 64GB): 7,990 PHP
  • Redmi Note 9 (4GB  + 128GB): 9,990 PHP

Redmi Note 9 Pro will be available on Lazada Philippines starting from June 4 at the following prices:

  • Redmi Note 9 Pro (6GB + 64GB): 12,490 PHP
  • Redmi Note 9 Pro (6GB + 128GB): 13,990 PHP

Mi Note 10 Lite will be available in the Philippines starting June 4 on Lazada, priced as follows:
