MANILA, Philippines – Find out if there is a happy ending waiting for “My Papa Pi” protagonists Pipoy, Popoy, and Tere, who are played by Piolo Pascual, Pepe Herrera, and Pia Wurtzbach, as the ABS-CBN sweetcom reaches its season finale this Saturday (June 18).
In the previous episode, it was teased that Tere will be proposing to Pipoy, who seems to have developed feelings already for his twin brother Popoy’s long-time love.
Popoy, now a ghost who would “borrow” Pipoy’s body once in a while, even caught the two exchanging romantic glances after they successfully reopened Mapag-asa Street’s famous tumbungan shop, even without their lucky sandok.
However, there is an obstacle that is coming with the arrival of Pipoy’s ex Chudy Ann, the mother of his daughter Mikay (Allyson McBride). Moreover, residents, including Tere, are planning to move their shops and stores to another barangay, where a business center is being built.
Days before the finale, fans are already asking for a Season 2 of the ABS-CBN sweetcom, which has brought joy and hope to viewers for almost three months led by its director Cathy Garcia-Molina.
Viewers love the show’s unique story, witty punchlines, and the chemistry of the cast which includes Joross Gamboa, Frenchie Dy, Alora Sasam, Hyubs Azarcon, Katya Santos, Madam Inutz, Quincy Villanueva, Haiza Madrid, Anthony Jennings, and Daniela Stranner.
“Season 2 plz! I’m very excited to watch this sweetcom every Sat,” said netizen Andrea Carios. YouTube user FharAwayTV also praised the show saying, “This sitcom is actually awesome.”
Will this bring an end to the strong sense of community among hopefuls at Mapag-asa Street? Are Pipoy and Tere going separate ways for good? How will Popoy react to the brewing romance between two people he values the most?
