MANILA, Philippines — In today’s culture, creativity knows no boundaries. Automotive design inspires fashion. Street art influences technology. Collectible toys become canvases for storytelling.
At the 10th Philippine International Motor Show (PIMS), Nissan Philippines and internationally acclaimed Filipino artist Quiccs Maiquez continued their creative journey with an expanded showcase exploring the connection between mobility, design, and contemporary art.
The collaboration, first unveiled at Nissan Festival in February 2026, introduced a crossover between automotive culture and collectible art. This latest chapter brings new artworks inspired by Nissan’s featured electrified lineup. Each piece adopted the same distinctive colorways as its corresponding vehicle model.
Art on wheels
The collection draws inspiration from four standout vehicles on display at PIMS: the Nissan X-Trail e-POWER, Nissan Kicks e-POWER, Nissan Navara Pro Plug-in Hybrid, and the Nissan Primera EV. Each vehicle presented a different creative challenge, according to Quiccs. The X-Trail e-POWER carries a refined and adventurous character, and the Kicks e-POWER feels youthful and energetic.
The result blurs the line between automotive design and collectible culture, showcasing how form, color, and storytelling can inspire both vehicles and vinyl toys.
Design beyond machines
For Quiccs, the collaboration represented an opportunity to explore the similarities between two seemingly different creative disciplines.
While cars and designer toys may occupy different spaces, both are built around creating emotional connections. For Nissan, the collaboration reflects a broader effort to connect with audiences through culture and creativity. Design at Nissan goes beyond vehicles. It’s about creating emotional connections.
About the collection
More than an automotive display or art installation, the Nissan-Quiccs collaboration is a celebration of creativity in motion.
