MANILA, Philippines – OPPO introduces the R17 Pro based on the Qualcomm® Snapdragon™ 710 Mobile Platform in Southeast Asia. Philippines is the first to experience among Southeast Asia on the in-demand features of Snapdragon 710 in OPPO’s most anticipated smartphone model, the R17 Pro. Starting from this November, it will be made available to the rest of the region.

The in-demand premium features of Snapdragon 710 are going to elevate the mobile experience and help smoothly handle situations, including the high-end camera, to high speed AI processing and the long-lasting battery life. The platform takes the camera to the next level capturing professional-grade quality photos and videos with superior low light photography, noise reduction, fast autofocus, image stabilization, smooth zoom and real-time bokeh effects.
The multi-core Qualcomm® AI Engine allows users to capture and share contextually-aware photos and videos effortlessly and personalize voice and speech patterns for more natural interactions. Get fast LTE connectivity with of up to 800 Mbps download speeds, and up to 150 Mbps upload speeds with the integrated X15 LTE modem in Snapdragon 710.
In terms of battery life, Snapdragon 710 provides up to 40% reduction in power consumption for both gaming and 4K HDR video playback, as well as up to 20% reduction in power consumption when streaming video, when compared to Snapdragon 660. Overall, when comparing the performance and power advancement between Snapdragon 710 with Snapdragon 660, Snapdragon 710 improves CPU performance by up to 20%, GPU performance by up to 35%, the app launching speed by up to 15%, and AI performance by a factor of two, and reduces overall power consumption by up to 30%.
According to market research firm Canalys, OPPO currently ranks No.1 in Philippines with a market share of 20%. Together with the powerful Snapdragon 710, the R17 Pro is anticipated to add success to OPPO’s popularity across Philippines.
