Realme claims top spot at Lazada 12.12 sale

MANILA, Philippines – Smartphone brand realme claims the second top spot in the recently concluded Lazada 12.12, overtaking other participating smartphone brands in terms of total gross value. In the first two hours of the highly anticipated online sale event, realme ranked fifth across Southeast Asia.

This is the second time realme Philippines participated at the grand year-end sale of the country’s biggest e-commerce platform Lazada. Last year, realme likewise achieved record-breaking sales with its #EntryLevelKing, the realme C1.

Realme Philippines enjoyed 277 percent sales growth at the Lazada 12.12 grand year-end sale compared to the brand’s Lazada 11.11 online sales performance. This was achieved with markdowns reaching as much 21 percent for some models.

At the frontlines are the realme 5 and realme C2 — the brand’s best-selling devices during the online sale event. The budget royalty realme C2 topped the list of best-selling smartphones in the 4K price segment while the realme 5 dominated the entire mobile and tablet category.

Aside from the Philippines, realme also set staggering sales records in Vietnam and Indonesia, securing 3rd and 4th places as best-selling smartphone brand during Lazada’s year-end sale in these markets respectively. These record-breaking feats of the three Southeast Asian (SEA) countries landed realme the 5th overall spot of the best-selling smartphone in the region.

“We at realme Philippines are overwhelmed with the amount of support and trust that Filipinos have shown us during the Lazada 12.12 year-end sale. Claiming a top spot on the list of the best-selling smartphone brands is a proof of how our phones are being patronized and loved by Filipinos. This heartwarming response inspires us to continue offering real value to Filipino smartphone consumers,” shares realme Philippines Marketing Director Austine Huang.

Realme Philippines will be offering more exciting products to its fans next year. As more Filipinos seek the real value offered by realme smartphones, the brand will continue to expand its offline and online channels to make its products accessible to more consumers nationwide.
