MANILA, Philippines – Santa’s Official Post Office in Rovaniemi, Finland, anticipates receiving over 30,000 letters daily from worldwide senders this Christmas. In an effort to engage volunteers, Santa Claus’ Cabin has been made available on Airbnb for guests to assist with letter sorting and immerse themselves in the Arctic Circle’s holiday spirit, free of charge.

Katja, Chief Elf of Santa Claus’ Main Post Office and Airbnb Host, expressed, “The elves have been tirelessly transforming Santa Claus’ Cabin into a winter wonderland. We aim to offer a magical and immersive experience for families seeking the ultimate yuletide adventure. Guests will not only stay in Santa Claus’ Cabin but also gain behind-the-scenes access to the world’s official Santa Claus’ Post Office during our busiest time of the year.”

Participants will engage in a day of ‘elfing’ at Santa Claus’ Post Office, receiving guidance from Katja and her team. Tasks involve sorting through letters from global senders, cross-referencing with Santa Claus’ list, stamping post with the Arctic Circle mark, and gaining insights into the Post Office’s operations. Post-elf duties, guests will relish traditional Finnish meals, snowmobile activities, northern lights viewing, and a traditional sauna experience.

Santa Claus’ Cabin, located near the Post Office, offers a yuletide-themed room adorned with Lapland decorations, an assortment of elf-wear, and necessary accessories for an Arctic circle retreat. The stay at Santa Claus’ Cabin will be complimentary.

The exclusive stay in Finland will be available from December 18 to 21, 2023. Guests can request bookings starting December 11, 12 pm EET/6 pm PHT on airbnb.com/santa. The stay accommodates up to two adults and two children, inclusive of flights from London Heathrow Airport via Finnair, courtesy of Visit Finland, and complimentary breakfasts and dinners.
