MAKATI, Philippines – (UPDATED) A group of security guards threatened and pulled a gun at a woman Wednesday morning along C. Palanca Street in Legaspi Village, Makati City.

The altercation began when Arty (name withheld at her request) honked at and attempted to overtake a group of security guards riding a vehicle with plate number XEJ 162.

According to the Facebook post by Arty, the group was blocking the left turn to C. Palanca Street. “No hazard signal. No left turn. Nothing. Just blocking the way,” narrated Arty.

Arty added that the security vehicle continued blocking the street on purpose even after she – and the car behind her – tried honking.

When she attempted to overtake them, the security vehicle swerved violently as if to hit her.

The group finally got stuck in traffic, and Arty grabbed the opportunity to take pictures, to which one of the security guards threatened to beat her up and take her phone.

During this time, another security guard went out of the vehicle and brandished his gun. Scared for her life, Arty went straight back to her car and locked the door.

According to Arty, one of their colleagues wearing a black jacket even encouraged the security guards to attack her because she was only taking pictures”.

“I woyldve (sic) put it on record mode but in the heat of the moment, i was scared, angry and frazzled,” shares Arty.

According to Arty, the group parked behind an armored car after they blocked traffic and swerved.

Below is the full except from Arty’s original post, which was already removed as of writing:

TODAY A SECURITY TEAM THREATENED TO BEAT ME UP AND THREATENED ME WITH A GUN.

I am sick and tired of enforcers or security guards who think they have the right to threaten the public.

The man covering his face explicitly threatened to beat me up and the guy to the right pulled out his gun and threatened me with it when I started taking photos of them.

I was driving behind them along dela rosa st. In Makati when they were blocking the left turn to c. Palanca. No hazard signal. No left turn. Nothing. Just blocking the way. When I and the car behind me honked at them, they purposefully continued to block our way. When they decided to move, they were swerving violently ahead of me as if to hit me if i were to overtake them. They finally got themselves stuck in makati traffic and i took the opportunity to take their pictures.

After threatening me, a colleague of their even urged them on saying that i was only taking pictures anyways. They wouldnt get into trouble bec i was only taking pictures.

HOW DARE YOU. HOW DARE YOU. HOW DARE YOU. DISGUSTING. FIRST OF ALL, YOU WERE IN THE WRONG AND THEN THREATEN TO BEAT ME UP AND THREATEN ME WITH YOUR GUN. IM SHAKING RIGHT NOW AND I WANT TO REPORT THIS. HOW DO I GO ABOUT THIS. THESE JERKS.

After calming down, Arty added:

I’m a bit calm now. A guy in a black jacket kept telling the security guards to not be afraid because “picture lang yan”, I guess that was reason enough for the guards to be tapang enough to say that they’d physically hurt me and get my phone. The other guy went out of the vehicle and brandished his gun, and I went straight back to my car and locked the door.

What was I going to do? How the hell was I going to go up against two full grown men, one of them with a rifle. I was unarmed. and they felt the need to brandish their rifle. I watch stuff like this on the news. I never thought it would happen to me.

Tell your loved ones to keep safe on the road. Okay na pala to threaten people on the road with your gun, cuz the most that they can do is just take your picture.
