PHILIPPINES – “My Puhunan,” anchored by multi-awarded broadcast journalist Karen Davila, is back in business to help ordinary Filipinos jumpstart their entrepreneurial career and success beginning tomorrow (July 7) on ABS-CBN.

For the program’s pilot offering, Karen brings together two moms who would do everything for their children.

Meet Rhodora ‘Bong’ Topacio who now has to take care of her six children after being abandoned by her four husbands. A single mother, Bong admits she finds it hard to focus on taking care of her kids. The only solution she sees is putting up her own business to provide for her family.

If someone completely understands Bong, it would have to be Mylene Lagumen, also a single mother who is known in Marikina for her banana cake and ensaymada. Just like Bong, Mylene married a man who got addicted to drugs and even physically abused her. After having separated from her husband, Mylene started baking pastries in her own garage with only a capital of P1,000 and has since made money out of it.

If you are a single mother like Bong, how would you provide for your family without being away from them?

Watch “My Puhunan” tomorrow (July 7), 4:30 PM on ABS-CBN Kapamilya Gold. For updates, visit https://www.facebook.com/MyPuhunan.
