Sony has quietly switched on a free, ad-supported live TV service that lives right inside the PS5, and it ships with more than 100 channels. Filipino owners should hold off on celebrating, though, because the rollout is starting in the United States only.
What is Live TV on PS5?
Live TV on PS5 launched on August 31 as a free ad-supported experience from Sony Pictures Television, found in the Media section of the console with no subscription and no extra hardware. Players just sign in with a PlayStation account and start watching.

The service packs in more than 100 live channels plus on-demand movies, TV shows, anime, sports, news and creator content, drawing in partners including Amazon MGM Studios, Crunchyroll, FOX, NBCUniversal, the NFL Channel and the UFC.

How to start watching
Opening it takes three quick steps from the home screen: go to the Media tab, select the Live TV on PS5 icon, then choose Sign In With My PlayStation Account. Sony walks through the setup on its official Live TV page.
When will it reach the Philippines?
The honest answer is that no date has been announced. Sony confirmed to CNET that the service is coming to its Bravia TVs later this year, and the company says it will expand to Canada before exploring more regions.
