Study of Unsurveyed People Shows Leni Ahead Bongbong

Leni Robredo for President

Contrary to what published surveys indicate, Vice President Leni Robredo is way ahead of her rival Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. as shown by an independent study on Filipinos who have never experienced being a respondent to an election survey.

Brand-Y Research and Market Intelligence tapped some 1,200 Filipinos who have never been officially surveyed as participants in a study conducted from Feb. 16 to 28, 2022.

In the study, participants were asked via an online questionnaire on who they will vote for President and Vice President in the May 9 elections.

The study used psychographic identifier for its respondents: Medyo Hirap Pa Sa Buhay (SEC DE), Ok Naman Hindi Mahirap Hindi Mayaman (SEC C), and Komportable At Nakaka-Angat-Angat Na Ang Pamilya (SEC AB).

The overall result of the study indicates that Robredo could get 53 percent of the total vote, while Marcos could obtain just 37 percent of votes come election day.

Consistent with the published surveys, Marcos was the choice of 52 percent of SEC DE or the majority of the population (58 percent) while Robredo got 36 percent, a vast improvement from the usual 16-20 percent rating she obtained from previous surveys.

Robredo however, easily won SEC AB (1 percent of the population) and C (41 percent of the population) with 96 percent and 76.8 percent, respectively.

The numbers for Robredo could increase as members of SEC DE are more likely to change their choice of a candidate before the elections.

In addition, Robredo also enjoys immense popularity online as she topped both Google Trends and Facebook Analytics.

Google Trends has been successful in predicting the outcomes of the latest elections in the United States, Greece, Spain, Germany, and Brazil.

Robredo was also ahead by five points over Marcos this month when it comes to Facebook engagement score, which helps measure the potential for people becoming voters of a certain candidate. Robredo currently has 8 million engagements over her rival’s 7.5 million.

The Vice President is running on the platform of “Oplan Angat Agad”, which is focused on employment, health, and education.

She also wants to assure that at least one family member is receiving a monthly salary while those who lost their job will get three-month financial assistance while looking for employment.

When it comes to health, Robredo has committed to providing each and every family with free doctors and to making health care affordable for all Filipinos. She also aims to provide quality education to students that would help them secure their dream jobs in the future.
