TCL is upgrading its giant screens to make your home movie nights look way better

MANILA, Philippines (July 2026) — Getting the perfect movie night at home usually means dealing with washed-out colors, but the new TCL Super-QD MiniLED technology is here to change that.

The display upgrade builds on the company’s existing engineering to offer better light precision and color accuracy. It is designed to give you a much more vivid home entertainment experience without the typical display drawbacks.

Why your next television might be a massive screen

Many Pinoys are choosing larger displays for their living rooms, and the global numbers show a massive shift toward giant setups. Market data from Omdia reveals that in 2025, TCL took the No. 1 global spot for both Mini LED television shipments and the large-screen category, which covers displays 75 inches and above.

The brand has also maintained its multi-year streak as the No. 1 Google TV brand in the world from 2021 to 2025.

What makes SQD-MiniLED different

Instead of just using a new name for old technology, this new engineering step refines how light is controlled across the panel. By improving precision, the screen can produce brighter whites and deeper blacks. This helps prevent the hazy, halo-like glow that often ruins dark scenes in movies.

Pricing and availability

Local pricing, specific models, and release dates for the Philippine market have not been announced yet.
