Running a small business is already a non stop hustle, and trying to navigate complicated banking terms shouldn’t make it harder. To help local entrepreneurs manage their daily cash flow without the usual corporate headaches, East West Banking Corporation launched an artificial intelligence powered assistant named ECHO.
Known formally as the EastWest CMS Help Officer, the digital assistant targets micro, small, and medium enterprises that are moving their operations to digital platforms. Many Pinoy business owners are shifting online to register and manage their ventures, but growing operations often mean dealing with messy financial tasks like payroll, collections, and cash flow management.
A digital guide for your daily hustle
Instead of making users wait for a human representative or dig through dense FAQs, the new tool provides direct answers about the bank’s cash management services. It answers basic questions, points owners toward the right financial setup based on their specific needs, and can pass the conversation to a human sales officer if things get too complex.
The bank plans to constantly update the tool’s database so it can handle more detailed inquiries as local businesses scale up.
EastWest Chief Marketing Officer Martin Reyes explained that entrepreneurs need quick answers so they can stay focused on keeping their businesses running. He noted that the tool gives them a simpler way to understand financial solutions, allowing them to make better decisions for their operations.
How to try it
The tool joins a broader digital push by the consumer bank, which operates as part of the Filinvest Group. Pinoy entrepreneurs who want to test the assistant or explore business banking options can access it directly through the official EastWest Bank website.
