It’s that time of the year when the Metro Manila Film Festival (MMFF) announces the best of the best of film entries submitted to them a few months before the actual month of December.
Here’s a quick rundown of this year’s Lucky 8 MMFF 2018 film finalists:
FANTASTICA: THE PRINCESS, THE PRINCE, AND THE PERYA
GIRL IN THE ORANGE DRESS
JACK EM POPOY: THE PULISCREDIBLES
ONE GREAT LOVE
MARY, MARRY ME
Joining forces for the first time this year are big stars Vic Sotto and Coco Martin who we very well know had separate MMFF entries in the past especially where Bossing Vic is well known for his classic Enteng Kabisote role, as a regular in the MMFF oand the iconic FPJ's Ang Panday for Coco whom he directed last year.
Their exciting tandem is solidified by the phenom Eat Bulaga regular and 1/2 of #Aldub...Maine Mendoza.
On the set during shoot, insiders would share that it's all fun and laughter for Maine with her co-stars having an impressive ensemble casting who all gelled and jived in so well.
We salute how Coco faces challenges and how he manages showbiz clamor and demands despite his daily grind hands on duties in FPJs Ang Probinsyano as actor/co-director.
His intentions are likeable always in mind the welfare of his co-staffers and cast mates of one of the longest running teleseryes tackling the many gray areas of the police world in Ang Probinsyano which recently had a concern but now already settled.
I am personally excited and looking forward to viewing Jack Em Popoy and enjoy three times the fun laughter and comedy. The MMFF entry is directed by Michael Tuviera.
Also expect some familiar Kapuso (Eat Bulaga) and Kapamilya (Ang Probinsyano) faces to appear in the film since this is a collaborative production with the blessings of the two major networks.
Bossing Vic and Coco may have hit a golden chance for them to top this year's MMFF 2018 listing.
This is going to be an anticipated race to the box office mark with Vice Ganda's "Fantastica" and "Jack Em Popoy" and here's hoping both movies and the rest of the other worth seeing movies be screened by a lot of our kababayans this year....nationwide!
