VIRAL: Kids return lost wallet – this story of honesty will melt your heart!

Stories about taxi drivers returning their passengers valuable have been one of the trending stories in the world wide web. But this time, two  young children, Vincent and Anthony did an act of heroism in their own small way.

The facebook post of Sunshine Lee went viral when she featured the practice of honesty of these two kids. She narrated that she was on her way to College of Saint Benilde-Taft Campus when she noticed two children running while holding a wallet. The two kids then approached a Pedicab driver to ask about what to do with the wallet.

The sunshine came to them as she thought at first that these two kids were running because they had stolen the wallet, but to her surprise, the two were running towards their friend “Ate Sam” who is the owner of the wallet who had left it in the convenience store.

The Pedicab driver introduced himself as a volunteer barangay tanod so he checked the kids body if they got something from the lost valuable.

Sunshine then checked the wallet and found out that it was really the “Ate Sam” who is the owner of the wallet.

On her post, Sunshine concluded “Kudos to these kids na palaging nangungulit sa’ting mga students, pero hindi nananamantala. let’s commend these kiddos for their honesty. May pag-asa pa nga talaga ang kabataan.”

Samantha Orbe or their Ate Sam was thankful that the two children returned her wallet and gave them chicken to eat and some school supplies.

Meanwhile, according to a vendor selling cigarettes around the area, these two kids are really practicing honesty as they always return any lost belonging they found.

Kids return wallet
Vincent and Anthony find joy in returning any lost belonging they found

“I was on my way to Taft Campus nang makita ko na may dalawang batang tumatakbo at may hawak na wallet. Lumapit ako at kinausap sila.

Me: Excuse me, taga Benilde ba may-ari ng wallet na ‘yan?

Kids: Opo, ate.

Me: Bakit kayo tumatakbo?

Promise!

I checked the contents at true enough, kay Ate Sam nga ‘yung wallet.

CSB friends, if you happen to know Miss Samantha Orbe, please inform her that her wallet was found by these kids named Mark Anthony and Vincent. Since sarado ang OSB, sa Security Office ng AKIC ko tinurn over.

Kudos to these kids na palaging nangungulit sa’ting mga students, pero hindi nananamantala. let’s commend these kiddos for their honesty. May pag-asa pa nga talaga ang kabataan.

UPDATE:
Ate Sam:
“I treated them already po chicken and gave them po some school supplies”

“I know po that they deserve something more than that po pero Thats all I can afford po for now po with my allowance po”

“its also like a really big help for me kasi that wallet po is ipon ko kasi yun ”

Good job Vincent and Anthony! May your honesty and kindness serve as an example among the youth of today. Good job also to Sunshine Lee and the Pedicab driver!
