The Zenfone 5 will be available in the Philippines on April 14, a month after its MWC 2018 announcement. The April release date was confirmed by ASUS Philippines for three variants – the flagship Zenfone 5Z, the mid-tier Zenfone 5, and the Zenfone 5Q, also known as Zenfone 5 Lite.
Like in the previous years, ASUS once again focuses on mobile photography, taking it up a notch (*wink wink*) with Artificial Intelligence (AI) driven features, sporting dual rear – and front cameras (Zenfone Lite / 5Q).
Speaking of notches, both the 5 and 5Z come with the thinnest bezels in a ZenFone yet, accentuated by a notch that ASUS claims to be “26% smaller than Fruit Phone X” – a playful jab at the notch found in the Apple iPhone X.
The ZenFone 5Q, on the other hand, sports a more traditional design, opting for a full top bezel to house its dual front-facing cameras.
