With Nebula 20.10, the new Nebula Identity Federation Service lets teams link their control center with existing identity providers like Microsoft Entra ID, Google Workspace, and Okta. Employees can log into office Wi-Fi and VPN networks using their standard workplace logins without needing secondary accounts.
In shared working spaces, users from different companies can connect to the exact same Wi-Fi using their respective corporate credentials. To protect against credential-phishing attacks, the platform now supports passwordless Passkey logins via the Nebula Cloud Authentication Server.
Clearer network maps and faster fixes
Troubleshooting multi-site networks usually requires digging through endless individual settings. The updated system provides a real-time visual topology map that displays physical device connections alongside critical network details like VLAN segmentation and link aggregation.
For managed service providers looking after several clients at once, centralized event logs bring activity data from multiple organizations into a single interface, eliminating the hassle of checking each site individually.
Replacing hardware without starting from scratch
Upgrading or replacing failing equipment often means manually reconfiguring everything from the ground up. A new one-click device replacement capability allows admins to unplug an old device and plug in its replacement, automatically transferring all existing configurations and active licenses to keep downtime to a minimum.
According to Gary Chen, Emerging Markets head at Zyxel Networks, the update focuses on cutting out tedious manual tasks so technical teams can concentrate on higher-value work.
