HSINCHU, Taiwan (Jul 2026) — Hackers are now using artificial intelligence to accelerate cyberattacks against smaller companies, making digital safety much harder to maintain. In response to these rising threats and strict global regulations, Zyxel Networks announced an upgraded framework for its product security governance to safeguard Pinoy small business owners and managed service providers.
Securing networks right from the start
The company has become the first global networking vendor focused on smaller businesses to sign the Secure by Design pledge by the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency. This means the brand is actively removing default passwords and adding passwordless login alongside multi-factor authentication across its entire product lineup. These features help reduce operational risks and simplify deployment for IT managers.
Top-tier security recognition
Over the last ten years, the company’s internal product security incident response team has worked with global researchers to spot and fix vulnerabilities quickly. Their efforts have earned them dual Provider Acceptance Levels as a CVE Numbering Authority, putting them on par with major tech giants like Cisco, Juniper, and F5. They have also joined the Forum of Incident Response and Security Teams to help manage global security incidents better.
Edward Yu, the chief information security officer of the Zyxel Group, stated that trust must be earned through daily action rather than just promises. Gary Chen, the emerging markets head at Zyxel Networks, added that building security directly into the hardware saves businesses from spending time and money fixing weak networks later.
Local pricing and specific product release details were not disclosed in the global announcement.
