Toni Gonzaga made the big announcement on Sunday (April 17, 2016) after her performance at the musical variety show, ASAP.
As she was joined by sister Alex Gonzaga and co-stars Luis Manzano and Piolo Pascual, she addressed the audience, noting how special ASAP is for her before sharing the good news.
“I’m so happy that finally, our love story (with Direk Paul) ay nagbunga na and yes, God finally opened my womb and I’m expecting my first child,” shared the 32-year-old actress.
As for her future projects, Toni said that all her commitments will still push through. However, she will be “taking it slow this time”.
“Gagawin pa din natin ‘yung mga commitment natin pero eventually, medyo we will take it slow this time,” answered Toni when Piolo asked her about her career path. “I just wanna enjoy the moment and it took me some time kasi I was waiting for my doctor’s approval na it’s a go, that I can finally say ‘I’m pregnant’”
Toni Gonzaga is reportedly pregnant with her first child to husband, director Paul Soriano, PEP posted last February 11.
The two, who got married June 12 of last year, have shared in a recent “Kris TV” interview that they plan to have a baby late this year or early 2017.
It looks like Toni’s pregnancy is favorable according to Feng Shui expert Maritess Allen.
In a “Tonight With Boy Abunda” interview last February 8, she said, “Paul is actually born in the Year of the Rooster, Toni is born in the Year of Pig so if they would like to have a baby in the Year of the Monkey, it is very good because the monkey and rooster create the house of commerce but they can also have a baby in the Year of the Rooster, 2017.”
