MANILA, Philippines (Mar 2026) — The NEOverse is officially open, and based on the turnout at SM Megamall Fashion Hall last March 28, Filipino gamers were ready for it.
nubia Philippines launched the NEO 5 Series through its “Enter the NEOverse: Born To Win” event, drawing hundreds of gamers, cosplayers, and tech fans to an afternoon of gaming challenges, live performances, and hands-on demos. The top-of-the-line nubia NEO 5 GT 5G came out as the most purchased model at the launch, followed by the NEO 5 Pro 5G and the base NEO 5 5G.

What happened at the event
The venue was built around an interactive gaming journey concept. Stations like Windtunnel, Holobox, Human Claw Machine, and reaction-based timer challenges were each designed to reflect features of the NEO 5 Series, including shoulder triggers, AI game optimization, and the REDMAGIC Lab cooling system. Attendees who completed challenges earned rewards including drinks from the Tianlala Chill Bar, a brand partner for the event.
Geely Philippines added a raffle component called “Your Next Phone Could Be Your Next Ride,” giving attendees a shot at winning a Geely GX3 Pro S. ONIC Philippines held a live showmatch and 1v1 segment that drew a strong crowd, while brand ambassador Sanya Lopez performed and held a meet-and-greet. Performances from Antonette Tismo, John Hendrick, John Jacob, and other acts kept the energy up throughout the day.
A cosplay competition at the NEOverse Cosplay Arena rounded out the community programming, with participants competing across game, anime, comics, and original concept categories for nubia devices and exclusive prizes.

The NEO 5 Series covers three price points. The nubia NEO 5 5G at PHP 11,999 (approx. $206) is the entry point, built for everyday gaming with a high refresh rate display and reliable battery life. The nubia NEO 5 Pro 5G at PHP 14,999 (approx. $258) steps up processing power and display quality for more demanding use. The nubia NEO 5 GT 5G at PHP 17,999 (approx. $310) is the flagship of the three, adding advanced cooling, responsive shoulder triggers, and sustained performance optimization for longer sessions.
All three are powered by REDMAGIC Lab engineering, the same team behind the REDMAGIC gaming phone lineup.
