MANILA, Philippines (July 2026) – Vault hunters can now load up their weapons for a massive new wasteland adventure today. The Version 1.9 update for Borderlands 4 by 2K and Gearbox Software has officially launched, bringing the brand-new Bounty Pack 4: Murders and Acquisitions.
This latest expansion introduces a narrative journey set in the Toxic Scowl, a polluted desert canyon. Players will assist Levaine, leader of the Electi, in settling a score between feuding Ripper factions. The repeatable mission features a fresh boss, three mini-bosses, a new Pearlescent weapon, and six pieces of Legendary gear. Vault Card 4 is also available alongside this content, allowing players to earn desert-chic rewards including 24 cosmetic items and four pieces of rerollable gear through gameplay.
A legendary beastmaster returns in September
The galactic mayhem expands further on Sept. 10 with the arrival of the Version 1.10 update. This upcoming patch introduces Story Pack 2: FL4K and the Last Resort, centering on the return of the legendary beastmaster and playable Vault Hunter from Borderlands 3.
Meet Loveless the Hacker
The Sept. 10 update also marks the debut of an all-new playable Vault Hunter, Loveless the Hacker. An ex-Anshin hacker turned assassin, Loveless comes equipped with high-end cybernetics and a self-created digital virus that can digistruct into a physical extension of her will. Players can also look forward to Bounty Pack 5 on the same day, featuring new narrative mission content and Vault Card 5.
How to get the updates
Players who own the Borderlands 4 Super Deluxe Edition automatically receive access to all content from the Bounty Pack Bundle (Bounty Packs 2, 3, 4, and 5) and the Vault Hunter Pack (Story Packs 1 and 2). The Deluxe Edition grants access to the Bounty Pack Bundle. All Bounty Packs and Story Packs are also available for individual purchase.
