MANILA, Philippines (Aug. 2026) – Virtual hoops fans are getting one of the biggest franchise overhauls in years as the latest basketball simulation game brings co-op story modes, a co-ed streetball hub, and a century of team history to the hardwood.
Visual Concepts and 2K officially unveiled NBA 2K27, packing it with a shared co-ed City, playable story co-op in MyCAREER, and a 100-year franchise mode that lets players lead their franchise through eras.
On the court, gameplay focuses on balanced two-way action. Offensive players gain access to a Dynamic Layup Engine and expanded dribble customization, while defenders receive an overhauled shot contest system, redesigned hands-up defense, and updated collision mechanics. The MyPLAYER Builder also introduces female builds, Strategic Badge Tokens, and Synergy Boosts.
