MANILA, Philippines (Apr 2026) — The best summer destinations are not always the most obvious ones. While everyone else is booking flights to Palawan or fighting traffic to Batangas, some of the most rewarding escapes in Luzon are sitting just beyond the city, best reached on two wheels.
Honda Philippines is making the case for adventure-style riding this Holy Week and summer season through the ADV160, a scooter built around what the brand calls “The SUV Pride” concept. It runs a 157cc eSP+ engine, comes with Honda Selectable Torque Control, Anti-lock Braking System with wavy disc brakes, a Subtank rear suspension, and a 5-inch TFT meter panel with Honda RoadSync connectivity. Fuel efficiency is rated at up to 45.0 km/L under WMTC test conditions.
Here are four destinations worth pointing it toward this season.
Antipolo, Rizal
A short ride from Metro Manila, Antipolo has long been a Holy Week pilgrimage destination centered on the Antipolo Cathedral. Beyond the religious draw, the cool mountain air and winding roads leading up to the city make the ride itself worthwhile. The adjustable windscreen on the ADV160 helps cut wind fatigue on longer stretches, and the smooth highway performance makes the climb comfortable.
Batangas Coast
The roads toward Nasugbu and Calatagan open up to sea views and beach stops that feel far removed from city life, even though they are only a few hours away. The route involves uphill stretches and coastal curves where the ADV160’s ABS and rear suspension earn their keep.
Dingalan, Aurora
Dingalan is often called the Batanes of the East, and the nickname is earned. Mountains dropping into the Pacific make for views that rival any beach resort, and the winding roads to get there are half the appeal. It is a longer ride, and the ADV160’s fuel efficiency and torque control make the distance more manageable.
Kaybiang Tunnel, Cavite
A favorite among weekend riders, the Kaybiang Tunnel route offers smooth curves and mountain scenery that are a welcome change from city traffic. Early morning rides here are especially good, and the Honda RoadSync connectivity lets riders stay navigated without stopping to check a phone.
