MANILA, Philippines (April 2026) — Fresh graduates from National University got a hands-on taste of the real job market at the “Bridges to Success” Career Fair held at SMX Convention Center in Pasay.
TP in the Philippines (formerly Teleperformance) joined the event as a key partner, offering career opportunities and practical interview practice to around 3,500 students from five NU campuses.
The career fair served as a bridge between classroom learning and actual employment. It featured forums and a panel discussion called “From Campus to Career,” where industry leaders shared advice for new graduates.
TP’s Business Development Manager Deng Lopez reminded students not to undervalue their academic achievements.
“A fresh graduate’s academic journey should never be discounted. Earning a degree is a significant achievement that deserves real weight in job interviews and provides a strong foundation for a first-time job seeker,” Lopez said.
Recruitment Director Joan Gapol, on the other hand, encouraged students to recognize the experience they already have.
“Do not think that you don’t have the experience because the moment that you started your internship journey, it counts as the experience that employers are looking for,” Gapol emphasized.
TP’s booth turned into a busy hub where students learned about various roles in the IT-BPM sector. The company also offered one-on-one mock interviews and skills assessments, giving participants immediate feedback to build confidence.
One student, Samantha Implementa, shared that the mock interview helped her feel more prepared.
“I felt overwhelmed at first, but looking at the whole experience, I believe that this initiative is great since it made me experience real-life interview sessions that can help me build more confidence as I chase my own career path in the future,” she said.
Another participant, Kate Ashley Sanchez, found the session eye-opening even though she had prior interview experience.
The highlight of TP’s participation was the debut of its solar-powered modern Jeepney, which served as an interactive space for registrations, prizes, podcast recordings, and casual chats. The colorful Jeepney marked the first stop of TP’s 2026 caravan roadshow aimed at bringing career opportunities closer to students nationwide.
TP Vice President of Human Resources Rachel Cacabelos said the company wants to reach more schools this year.
“We hope to engage with more academe partners this year and showcase to graduates the opportunities of working in an advancing environment of the IT-BPM sector,” Cacabelos said.
