Why every payment feels like a win with Salmon

MANILA, Philippines (July 2026) — Paying for everyday purchases rarely feels exciting, but one fintech company wants to change that by turning even the smallest financial wins into something worth celebrating.

Salmon has launched a new campaign featuring comedian and TV host Sam YG, imagining a world where every successful payment or financial milestone is greeted with a burst of confetti. The campaign highlights the company’s goal of making borrowing and managing money feel less stressful and more rewarding.

Rather than focusing only on features, the campaign centers on a simple idea: good financial experiences should feel good.

Built to work when people need it most

Few things are more frustrating than a payment app that stops working during peak hours. Salmon says its platform is designed with 99.9% uptime, allowing customers to complete transactions even during busy periods such as paydays.

The company also highlights security as one of its priorities. Its app can identify potentially harmful third-party applications installed on a customer’s device and help stop suspicious transactions before they are completed.

Customer support is available around the clock through a combination of artificial intelligence and human agents, with an average response time of about two minutes. The app also features a clean interface that has helped it earn a 4.8-star rating on both Google Play and Apple’s App Store.

Loans designed around everyday goals

Whether someone needs extra funds for daily expenses, wants to buy a new gadget, or plans to purchase a motorcycle, Salmon offers several lending products designed for different needs.

Its Credit Line includes one of the longest interest-free grace periods available in its category, along with cashback on eligible transactions.

The Product Loan allows customers to finance purchases through more than 10,000 partner stores across the Philippines with manageable monthly payments.

Meanwhile, the Moto Loan lets customers apply online, receive approval in as little as one minute, and, in some cases, pick up a motorcycle within 24 hours.

Rewarding responsible borrowing

Salmon also wants to change how people view credit by encouraging responsible borrowing through incentives and transparent terms.

Customers who maintain good repayment habits may enjoy interest-free grace periods on eligible Credit Line and Product Loan payments, cashback on QR Ph and card transactions made through the Credit Line, zero down payment on select Product Loans, and access to higher credit limits and better loan terms over time.

The company also offers virtual cards for safer online shopping, masked card numbers on physical cards, and a fully digital application and repayment process.

Salmon says it is among the few financial companies in the Philippines to receive the Client Protection Certification at the Silver level under the Cerise+SPTF Client Protection Standards, recognizing its consumer protection practices after an independent assessment.

The campaign reflects Salmon’s broader message that responsible financial decisions, whether big or small, deserve to be celebrated.
