MANILA, Philippines (Jul 2026) — Moving money between bank accounts just got a lot cheaper for EastWest customers. Starting July 15, 2026, the bank will waive InstaPay transfer fees for transactions made through its EasyWay and Komo digital platforms.

This move means Pinoys can send money to other banks without worrying about that extra deduction every time they pay for a delivery or split a bill with friends. While InstaPay is getting the fee waiver, PESONet transfers remain free for all clients, which helps when handling larger transactions without any added costs.

The initiative is part of a larger push by the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas to get more people comfortable with digital payments. By removing the barrier of transaction fees, the bank hopes to make everyday digital banking more accessible for everyone.

At EastWest, we want banking to feel easier and more useful in our clients everyday lives. EastWest CEO Jerry G. Ngo said. He noted that through the EasyWay and Komo apps, individual clients now have more ways to move their money safely and conveniently.

The fee waiver applies automatically to transfers done through the specific digital platforms mentioned. For those who have questions about the new policy or need help setting up their accounts, EastWest customers can visit any physical branch or get in touch with customer service at +63 2 8888-1700. More details are also available on the official website.
