LONDON, United Kingdom (Jul 2026) – Walking down the street while staring constantly at a smartphone screen could soon become a thing of the past. The new Samsung intelligent eyewear aims to blend advanced digital assistance directly into daily routines without forcing users to look at a display. Unveiled at the Galaxy Unpacked event, this wearable device brings helpful artificial intelligence directly into the line of sight of the user.
Smart help right before your eyes
Built on the Android XR platform in partnership with Google, the device features Gemini AI to deliver context-aware assistance based on what is happening around the user. Instead of pulling out a phone, a Pinoy user can simply use voice commands or gesture interactions to manage daily tasks. The built-in camera provides visual context, allowing the assistant to summarize long messages, read text aloud, and perform live translation during conversations in foreign languages.
It can also capture visual information on command. For instance, if someone is looking at a whiteboard during a meeting, the glasses can organize those details into Notes for quick sharing and review later on.
High tech meets high fashion
To ensure people actually want to wear them, the tech giant collaborated with global eyewear brands Gentle Monster and Warby Parker. The partnership ensures the hardware combines a lightweight frame and a slim profile with everyday durability.
Two distinct design styles were introduced at the launch. The Gentle Monster edition offers a fashion-forward silhouette featuring a slim black frame with a straight upper rim and softly rounded lower edges. Meanwhile, the Warby Parker style provides a versatile look with a subtly upswept brow line in a rich brown hue.
All-day battery performance
Powering the real-time AI capabilities is the Snapdragon AR1 Gen1 Platform, which is optimized for thermal management and power efficiency within the compact frames. The built-in battery provides up to nine hours of continuous use on a single charge. The accompanying charging case offers up to seven additional full charges, making it easy to keep the device powered during long trips.
