CLARK FREEPORT ZONE, Philippines (Jul 2026) — Hundreds of multi-sport athletes pushed their physical limits under the blazing sun as a massive crowd flocked to the sold-out Duaman Duathlon 2026 over the weekend.

The event saw a diverse mix of participants, from first-timers navigating their very first transition to seasoned age-group veterans trying to set personal records on the fast, flat, and wind-exposed roads of Clark. Everyone faced the double challenge of rising tropical temperatures and aggressive early pacing right out of the first transition.

A community united by sweat

For many participants, the race was less about beating others and more about personal growth. One age-group participant shared that crossing the finish line felt deeply personal, noting that the race constantly serves as a reminder of why they started their multi-sport journey in the first place.

The event remains a cornerstone for the local multi-sport community. Carlos de Guzman, the founder of SBR.ph, highlighted that seeing absolute beginners race alongside long-time veterans proves how much stronger the community becomes each year. He described the race as the true heartbeat of the SBR.ph Tri Series.

What lies ahead for Pinoy triathletes

With the duathlon leg officially wrapped up, the Go For Gold SBR.ph Tri Series 2026 Presented by Vitargo is now gearing up for its final phase.
