Longtime gaming fans are about to discover how one of the most iconic digital crime bosses built his empire from the ground up. The first look at gameplay for the upcoming Mafia: The Old Country’s Man of Honor Expansion just dropped, giving players a preview of what life was like in the Sicilian criminal underworld before the fame and power.
The new expansion arrives on Aug. 14 for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam. Hangar 13 Design Director Josh Zammit shared the details in a new blog post alongside a fresh gameplay trailer showing off the action.
Going back to where the crime family started
The expansion features two new story chapters that take place during the early days of Enzo Favara’s service to the Torrisi crime family. Players will see Enzo team up with a younger Ennio Salieri, a familiar face to anyone who played the original Mafia game. These prequel chapters offer a deep look at the future Don before he moves to America and takes over the criminal scene.
More ways to cause trouble on the streets
Aside from the main story, players can explore new content in Free Ride mode. This includes tougher challenges and jobs handed out by Salieri himself, ranging from high-stakes street races to intense combat and stealth encounters. These missions introduce entirely new gameplay types that will test your skills. Completing these tasks rewards players with fresh outfits, vehicles, horses, powerful weapons, and unique charms.
