MANILA, Philippines (Sep 2026): More Pinoy furparents are looking for outdoor spaces where their four-legged companions can tag along for morning walks and weekend hangouts. A recent 2026 survey showed that 57% of Pinoys view their pets as actual family members, with around 54% spending more on pet lifestyle needs than the previous year. Addressing this shift in how local households live with their animals, Pawgrounds at Parqal has officially opened as a pet-friendly community space inside Aseana City.
A safe spot built for urban pet routines
Located within the walkable environment of Parqal, the new pet venue gives dogs, cats, and their owners a dedicated place to exercise, socialise, and enjoy outdoor playtime. The area was designed to help turn simple walks and café runs into regular family rituals for nearby residents and visitors.
“Today, we’re opening more than just a pet park. We’re opening a space where simple walks can turn into adventures, playtime can turn into friendships, and everyday moments can become memories,” said Guia Kristinne Pajimola, Parqal’s Operations Manager.
Enriching everyday community spaces
The initiative comes as property developer D.M. Wenceslao & Associates, Incorporated continues to expand human-centric developments across its 107.5-hectare Aseana City project along Manila Bay. By integrating dedicated areas for pets into its retail and lifestyle footprint, the development aims to create shared spaces where every family member has a place to feel welcome.
Pawgrounds is now open to the public at Parqal in Aseana City, Parañaque City.
