MANILA, Philippines (Sep 2026) – What happens when society stops treating marginalized people as disposable? Renowned Jesuit priest Fr. Greg Boyle, SJ, the founder of Homeboy Industries, is returning to the Philippines this September 2026 to share his message of trauma-informed healing and radical compassion.

From LA streets to global impact

In 1988, Fr. Boyle started walking the streets of Los Angeles’ poorest Catholic parish, choosing active listening and community support over judgment. That grassroots effort grew into Homeboy Industries, which is now recognized as the largest gang intervention, rehabilitation, and re-entry organization in the world. The organization assists over 10,000 individuals every year through employment, therapy, tattoo removal, and holistic support services.

His core message is simple: real personal transformation happens not through fixing people, but when individuals experience being seen, cherished, and recognized for their inherent goodness.

Bringing radical kinship to Pinoy communities

Hosted by Elaine Kahn and Integra Wellness Center, Fr. Boyle’s upcoming trip builds on his initial visit to Manila in 2024 to promote whole-person healing across local neighborhoods.

Pinoy audiences can hear Fr. Boyle speak during his public talk, “Finding Hope, Healing and Connection in a Divided World,” on Sept. 10, 2026, at 4 p.m. at the Santuario de San Antonio Parish Center in Forbes Park, Makati. For those seeking an immersive experience, Fr. Boyle will also lead a three-day retreat from Sept. 11 to 13, 2026, at Rosary Hills in Silang, Cavite.
