Faster check-ins at the clinic
To solve this bottleneck, front-desk staff can use standalone scanners like the Epson WorkForce DS-790WN. Featuring a 4.3-inch touchscreen and rapid speeds of up to 45 pages per minute, the device lets workers scan patient charts, lab sheets, and ID cards directly to network folders or cloud storage with a single tap.
Smudge-free prescriptions and lower power bills
For physical paperwork like prescriptions and discharge summaries, doctors can rely on the Epson EcoTank L15160. It delivers up to 7,500 black pages per ink set using water-resistant DURABrite pigment inks, keeping written instructions clear even if exposed to liquids.
In larger hospital settings, Epson WorkForce Enterprise and WorkForce Pro business inkjet copiers use Heat-Free Technology. These units consume up to 85 percent less electricity than traditional laser copiers, lowering facility utility costs and preventing power surges during morning shifts.
Noelle Gonzalez, Head of Marketing at Epson Philippines, shared that technology should serve care providers by pairing simple scanning with low-cost printing so medical teams can focus on patient care. Similar setups are already used internationally, including Germany’s Diabetes Clinic Bad Mergentheim, which serves over 20,000 patients annually.
